Senior AI Enablement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Enablement and coaching — collaborate directly with engineers through 1:1 sessions, pair programming, workshops, office hours, and cohorts to enhance their proficiency in AI-assisted development: prompting, workflow design, and model/tool selection. Identify areas of under-adoption and elevate teams to meet established standards.

• Propagation of best practices — document successful strategies (and unsuccessful ones) from various teams and systematically disseminate them: maintain living best-practice guides, prompt libraries, troubleshooting playbooks, and an internal AI knowledge base and skills registry.

• Scaling through champions — establish and support a network of embedded AI champions to ensure enablement extends beyond a single individual.

• Unblocking and feedback loop — serve as the primary resource when engineers encounter challenges with AI tools. Proactively engage with teams to identify blockers early, compile them into recognizable patterns, and escalate systemic issues to leadership.

• Internal integrations and tooling — develop internal AI integrations and reusable tools hands-on (Node.js/TypeScript, MCP) — from prototype to production independently, including authentication, access control, security review, and CI/CD processes.

• Evaluation and scouting — conduct structured assessments of AI tools, models, and internal integrations; keep abreast of the rapidly evolving landscape (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot/Codex, new model releases) and provide curated, actionable recommendations.

• Measurement and impact — establish and monitor adoption and productivity metrics by team, tool, and individual. Create dashboards reflecting actual usage and output — adoption/active-usage rate, assistant acceptance rate, PR throughput, and cycle time — with a quality safeguard (change failure rate) to ensure speed does not compromise quality. Reference frameworks include DX Core 4 and DORA.

• Cross-functional collaboration — partner with security/compliance teams to implement safe-by-design protocols, and with GTM to convert field requirements into internal enablement while providing feedback on adoption trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior, hands-on engineer with a robust full-stack background — 7+ years of experience in a product-driven environment.

• Expertise in Node.js/TypeScript for developing services and integrations, along with practical knowledge of relational and document databases.

• Profound, hands-on familiarity with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) — understanding their internal workings, not just their usage — as well as the complete AI-assisted development workflow.

• Proven ability to independently take internal integrations from prototype to production — encompassing design, authentication/authorization, deployment, security review, and CI/CD.

• Experience in building integrations with third-party APIs and agent-tooling protocols (e.g., MCP).

• Familiarity with GenAI building blocks: LLMs, prompting, RAG, orchestration, agentic flows, and AI/tooling security.

• Strong teaching, facilitation, and technical writing abilities — capable of elucidating complex topics to engineers at various levels and creating guides, workshops, and walkthroughs.

• Cross-functional operational skills — adept at influencing without authority and coordinating with IT, DevOps, security, and GTM.

• Ability to independently structure ambiguous, open-ended challenges and drive them to completion, synthesizing numerous inputs (1:1s, feedback, surveys) into prioritized actions.

• Proficiency in English at C1 level, adequate for written and verbal technical communication with both external and internal audiences.
