Senior AI Enablement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Enablement & coaching — collaborate directly with engineers through one-on-one sessions, pair programming, workshops, office hours, and cohorts to enhance their effectiveness in AI-assisted development: prompting, workflow design, and model/tool selection. Identify areas of under-adoption and elevate teams to meet established standards.

• Best-practice propagation — document successful strategies (and failures) from one team and systematically disseminate them: maintaining living best-practice guides, prompt libraries, troubleshooting playbooks, and an internal AI knowledge base and skills registry.

• Scale through champions — establish and support a network of embedded AI champions to ensure that enablement extends beyond a single individual.

• Unblocking & feedback loop — serve as the primary resource when engineers encounter challenges with AI tooling. Proactively engage with teams to identify blockers early, consolidate them into recognizable patterns, and escalate systemic issues to leadership.

• Internal integrations & tooling — develop internal AI integrations and reusable tools hands-on (Node.js/TypeScript, MCP) — from prototype through to production independently, including authentication, access control, security review, and CI/CD processes.

• Evaluation & scouting — conduct structured evaluations of AI tools, models, and internal integrations; keep abreast of the rapidly evolving landscape (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot/Codex, new model releases) and provide curated, actionable recommendations.

• Measurement & impact — define and monitor adoption and productivity metrics by team, tool, and individual. Create dashboards reflecting real usage and output — adoption/active-usage rates, assistant acceptance rates, PR throughput, and cycle time — with quality guardrails (change failure rate) to ensure that speed does not compromise quality. Reference frameworks: DX Core 4, DORA.

• Cross-functional partnering — collaborate with security/compliance on safe-by-design guardrails, and with GTM to translate field requirements into internal enablement while feeding adoption trends back.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior, hands-on engineer with a robust full-stack background — 7+ years of experience in a product-driven environment.

• Expertise in Node.js/TypeScript for building services and integrations, along with a working understanding of relational and document databases.

• Profound, hands-on knowledge of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) — understanding their internal workings, not just their usage — and familiarity with the complete AI-assisted development workflow.

• Proven ability to take internal integrations from prototype to production independently — encompassing design, authentication/authorization, deployment, security review, and CI/CD.

• Experience in building integrations with third-party APIs and agent-tooling protocols (e.g., MCP).

• Familiarity with GenAI building blocks: LLMs, prompting, RAG, orchestration, agentic flows, and AI/tooling security.

• Strong teaching, facilitation, and technical writing abilities — capable of simplifying complex topics for engineers at various levels and producing guides, workshops, and walkthroughs.

• Cross-functional operational capability — comfortable influencing without authority and coordinating with IT, DevOps, security, and GTM.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous, open-ended problems autonomously and drive them to completion, synthesizing various inputs (1:1s, feedback, surveys) into prioritized actions.

• English proficiency at C1 level sufficient for effective written and verbal technical communication with both internal and external audiences.
