This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage production AI systems, including agent orchestration, tool and API integrations, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.

• Architect and sustain marketing databases, datasets, pipelines, and Samsara's Customer Data Platform.

• Collaborate with the BI team to enhance conversational analytics within marketing.

• Identify and automate manual workflows using AI, from conception to production.

• Construct end-to-end data pipelines and integrate data into downstream systems.

• Ensure the reliability and data quality of delivered systems.

• Work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to convert ambiguous business inquiries into scalable solutions.

• Deliver and review high-quality Python and SQL code, including AI-generated code.

• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and establish team best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering or AI engineering, with significant hands-on data engineering experience.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Strong practical experience in data modeling.

• Experience in building and deploying production systems utilizing LLMs or agents.

• Frequent use of agentic coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor.

• Extensive knowledge of data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data stacks such as Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

• Capacity to independently lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Ability to recognize automation opportunities through discussions with stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and project management skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A software engineering background beyond data or AI engineering is preferred.

• Experience supporting business functions such as marketing, sales, finance, or business operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with Databricks is preferred.

• Knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, web analytics, and CDPs is preferred.

• Experience with evaluating and monitoring production LLM systems is preferred.
