Senior AI Automation Engineer – Internal Platform

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business teams to pinpoint AI and automation opportunities, evaluate feasibility (including viability, data, integration, ROI, and readiness), convert challenges into technical plans, communicate recommendations, and assist in prioritizing demand across the portfolio.

• Create, develop, and enhance AI-driven applications and agents (such as RAG, prompt engineering, and agent architectures) for internal use and, occasionally, client use on platforms like Glean, Microsoft Copilot, and Snowflake Intelligence.

• Deploy RPA, scripting, and low-code/no-code workflows to automate repetitive tasks, integrate systems and data sources, and manage/optimize automations for dependable, end-to-end execution.

• Produce production-ready code for AI and automation solutions with comprehensive documentation, testing, and adherence to SDLC best practices, utilizing modern engineering methods (Git, code reviews, CI/CD) to guarantee quality and maintainability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions, effectively convey value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and align efforts with priorities through agile planning.

• Share best practices, explore and experiment with emerging AI and automation tools, provide insights to leadership through prototypes and production experiences, and assist in selecting and managing secure, governed cloud AI services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline (4-year program).

• Over 5 years of professional experience in developing and deploying automation/RPA solutions and AI/ML solutions within a business context.

• Proficiency with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and connecting various business systems.

• Proven experience in both AI/ML and process automation (e.g., RPA, Power Automate, scripting, workflow tools).

• Demonstrated capability to engage directly with business stakeholders to evaluate feasibility, gather requirements, and translate business challenges into technical solutions.

• High level of proficiency in software development (preferably Python), with practical experience in building production-grade applications and workflows.

• Familiarity with professional software development processes: Git-based source control, branching strategies, code reviews, and effective team collaboration on shared codebases.

• Exposure to agile development practices, CI/CD methodologies, and collaborative development settings.

• Basic experience in deploying cloud services and APIs for AI workloads (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to evaluate business processes and identify automation opportunities.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI agent frameworks/platforms.
