Senior AI Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop AI-driven tools and internal assistants aimed at automating daily tasks efficiently across teams.

• Create AI agents that can generate reports, summarize communications, and facilitate complex internal workflows from start to finish.

• Build knowledge assistants trained on company documents and internal knowledge repositories.

• Lead the prototyping and testing of new AI functionalities, assessing both technical feasibility and readiness for production.

• Architect automation workflows that integrate LLMs, structured data, APIs, and internal systems.

• Develop automation solutions that link various platforms utilized throughout the organization.

• Create AI-enhanced internal dashboards, reports, and operational summaries.

• Automate repetitive tasks across various departments, including sales, marketing, operations, and support.

• Integrate AI systems with internal company tools, such as CRM platforms, Slack or Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, ticketing and support systems, as well as internal databases and APIs.

• Ensure the reliability, observability, and maintainability of AI tools integrated with internal platforms.

• Establish technical standards and best practices for AI development within the team.

• Continuously enhance AI tools based on feedback from internal teams, monitor performance, and iterate rapidly.

• Evaluate and adopt new AI models, automation tools, and frameworks with a critical and practical approach.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for AI workflows and automation systems.

• Proactively identify new opportunities for AI to boost efficiency across the organization and present structured proposals to leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.

• Located in Medellín, Colombia (this is a remote position, but proximity to the Chief of AI is necessary).

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field.

• Strong, proven experience in programming with Python or TypeScript.

• Solid experience with AI APIs, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers, including production use cases.

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying AI agents or AI-driven applications in real-world environments, not merely personal projects.

• Experience in working with APIs, system integrations, and multi-platform automation at a professional level.

• Ability to work independently, make informed technical decisions, and deliver end-to-end solutions without heavy supervision.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions.

• Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory) Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing AI or automation projects.
