Senior Advisory Consultant – Renewable Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for assisting in the creation of regional energy market reports.

• Serve as an external consultant interacting with Hitachi Energy’s Solution offerings.

• Strengthen Hitachi Energy’s strategic consulting functions by providing best practice advice.

• Build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients, engaging with end-users at a strategic level and providing coaching.

• Offer insights to Hitachi Energy product managers regarding enhancements and roadmaps for software tools.

• Oversee consulting projects with considerable complexity.

• Model renewable energy, energy storage, hybrid or co-located resources, electric vehicles, demand response, and distributed energy resources.

• Create forecasts for energy, capacity, ancillary services, and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) prices for North American power markets.

• Analyze and articulate a coherent narrative surrounding trends in regional power markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree or its foreign equivalent in engineering, business, mathematics, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in modeling North American power markets, including understanding macro-economic factors that affect these markets.

• At least 3 years of experience in consulting, specifically in the implementation of energy solutions.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in identifying and managing project issues and risks, including the development of mitigation strategies and plans.

• At least 3 years of experience in power production simulation and formulating forecasts for energy, capacity, ancillary services, and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) prices in North American electricity markets.
