📋 Description

• Enhance Code for America’s reputation as a reliable ally to technology and industry leaders.

• Develop a vision for Code for America’s partnerships that harmonizes broad social impact with diverse revenue streams.

• Formulate Code for America’s industry partnership strategy by pinpointing new high-impact opportunities for pilot programs, collaborations, and leadership in the field.

• Expand Code for America’s network of industry partners to promote the application of human-centered technology and AI.

• Convert emerging technologies into practical pathways for government implementation, ensuring a balance between innovation and accountability.

• Establish feedback mechanisms between the external ecosystem and Code for America’s internal product, philanthropy, and revenue teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 10 - 15+ years of professional experience in technology partnerships, business development, alliance management, or related strategic relationship roles with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Demonstrated success in generating revenue from private sector and/or government through collaborations.

• Proven capability to outline a multi-year partnership strategy, including the creation of channel partner programs and indirect revenue models.

• Experience collaborating closely with Executive, Product, and Engineering leadership to synchronize external market opportunities with internal roadmaps and operational capabilities.

• Advanced skills in negotiating complex commercial agreements, MOUs, and revenue-sharing contracts.

• Strong ability to identify opportunities, with experience managing a disciplined partnership pipeline in CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot) and achieving or surpassing revenue goals.

• In-depth knowledge of the technology landscape, encompassing SaaS business models, AI/ML deployment trends, and the B2G (Business-to-Government) procurement environment.

• Outstanding presence and communication skills, capable of forging high-level relationships with corporate VPs and C-suite executives in private sector organizations.

• Familiarity with AI technologies, trends, and their impact on public sector service delivery.

• Proven success in high-growth or rapidly changing environments, with the capacity to adapt strategy based on market insights and organizational requirements.

• Effective collaborator who thrives in interdisciplinary settings and interacts well with senior executives and peers across various disciplines.

• Comfortable maneuvering through ambiguity and rapid technological changes with sound judgment and composure.

• Strong dedication to Code for America’s mission and an understanding of how private-sector innovation can be leveraged for social good.

• $700 remote work setup allowance; $200 stipend and up to $500 reimbursement, subject to our equipment policy.

• Monthly reimbursement of $50 for cell phone and/or internet expenses.

• $1000 annual stipend for professional development, prorated upon hire.

• Up to $1000 of professional development funds can be carried over each year, with a maximum of $2000.

• Employees with less than 3 years of service are eligible for a 100% employer match of up to 3% of their contributions.

• Employees with 3 or more years of service qualify for an additional 50% employer contribution over 3%, up to a maximum of 5%.

• Comprehensive benefits package with options for up to 100% coverage for selected medical, dental, and vision plans.

• Employer covers up to 80% of costs for dependent and family coverage.

• Code for America employees can work remotely from anywhere in the US.

• Main residence of Code for America employees must be in the US.

• Full-time employees are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

• Collaborative working hours: we strive to schedule all internal meetings between 10 AM - 3 PM PT. All Code for America staff are expected to be available during these hours.

• Open personal time off, a minimum of 16 paid holidays, and an organizational-wide closure from Christmas Day through New Year's Day.

• Paid sick leave of up to 96 hours annually.

• Competitive paid parental and family leave policies.

• Four weeks of paid sabbatical after four years of service, with the option for up to four additional weeks of unpaid time off.
