Senior Accountant – Vacation Rental Portfolio, US Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist in the onboarding of clients, guaranteeing the precise and efficient establishment of accounting systems.

• Tailor and optimize accounting workflows to fit the unique needs of each vacation rental client.

• Supervise and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and the month-end closing process.

• Collaborate with vacation rental platforms, including PMS, channel managers, and trust accounting systems.

• Ensure adherence to industry-specific accounting regulations and best practices.

• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and execute scalable accounting solutions.

• Work in conjunction with internal teams to enhance efficiency and elevate the client experience.

• Act as a subject-matter expert in vacation rental accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive accounting experience at a senior level (5+ years preferred).

• REQUIRED: Direct experience in vacation rental accounting.

• Strong comprehension of trust accounting, owner statements, and property-level reporting.

• Proven experience in onboarding clients and establishing accounting systems.

• Proficiency in accounting software, with a preference for QuickBooks, AppFolio, or similar VR-focused platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by processes.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
