This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Engages in the overall accounting operations, encompassing inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Aids in the monthly financial record closure for Brazil and collaborates with Corporate as necessary.
• Contributes to the development of policies and procedures to guarantee that internal controls are established, ensuring reasonable protection of company assets.
• Conducts technical accounting GAAP research on various subjects.
• Implements fixed asset procedures, including depreciation calculations, classification of acquisitions and disposals, ensuring compliance with standards in integration with the accounting system.
• Executes analyses and controls of the general ledger in accordance with BRGAAP and USGAAP standards.
• Manages the accounting integration of tax and payroll processes.
• Participates in validating and designing proposed changes to the general ledger system to ensure compliance with accounting requirements.
• Involved in the external reporting process, which entails creating footnotes and relevant support, drafting sections of Management’s Discussion and Analysis, and compiling documentation for quarterly earnings releases.
• Assists in the creation and collection of support related to both internal and external audits during the periodic review of the company’s financial records.
• Develops ad hoc reports and undertakes other special assignments as required.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining control and organization.
• Possesses strong GAAP knowledge and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience in Public Accounting and/or multinational businesses.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and BRGAAP (IFRS) internal controls and financial reporting is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various departmental functions.
• Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to maintain a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
