Senior Accountant - Senior Balance Sheet Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for developing an automated, forward-looking finance function in close collaboration with our team.

• You will independently handle all transactions related to financial accounting, including invoice verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and bank accounting, while implementing new requirements to ensure precise cost and performance accounting at all times.

• You will be involved in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as external audits.

• You will analyze and enhance existing finance processes to achieve improved efficiency.

• You will assist with intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing, in addition to the monthly consolidation of all entities.

• You will represent the finance team to external partners, such as suppliers and advisors, and collaborate closely with internal departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally as a certified balance sheet accountant/Bilanzbuchhalter, tax clerk/Steuerfachangestellte, or tax specialist/Steuerfachwirt, preferably within a SaaS environment.

• You possess solid knowledge of financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB), with IFRS experience being an advantage.

• You are proficient in DATEV and Excel, and have experience with spend-management systems.

• You demonstrate strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a hands-on approach.

• You work independently and in an organized manner.

• You are fluent in both German and English.
