Senior Accountant, PT to FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and oversee the entire general ledger cycle, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

• Facilitate a timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process by managing critical elements of the closing checklist.

• Initially support, and eventually take full ownership of, the subscription, billing, and collection processes.

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies.

• Oversee revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606, including managing deferred revenue schedules.

• Administer and enhance NetSuite ERP workflows, encompassing reporting, saved searches, and system integrations.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.

• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supplying necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with FP&A, billing, and operations teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• 3–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.

• Practical experience with NetSuite ERP, including general ledger management, reporting, and system configuration.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly regarding revenue recognition (ASC 606) and subscription-based business models.

• A curious mindset with the ambition to utilize rules-based and AI-driven automation within accounting and finance workflows.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reconciliation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Prior experience in a SaaS or technology startup environment is advantageous.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
