This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversees cost reporting and analysis, planning, administrative cost controllership, and process enhancements for the Federal Employee Program (FEP) segment, which includes the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) and Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Programs.
• Develops and offers consulting for intricate analysis and cost reporting requirements, spearheads audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and other projects in support of the FEP segment.
• Ensures the timely and precise completion of periodic cost reports in compliance with federal and BCBSA regulations.
• Directs controllership, financial analysis, and variance reporting for reimbursable allocated administrative expenses pertaining to the FEHB and PSHB Programs.
• Manages audit cycles to guarantee the accuracy of deliverables and compliance with deadlines, assigns, reviews, and approves audit schedules prepared by Accountant II and III positions on the team.
• Aids in the analysis and reporting for internal budgets and forecasts associated with the FEP segment.
• Creates management presentations and commentary for financial plans.
• Continuously enhances processes, develops efficiencies, and collaborates to address issues.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Over 5 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost accounting, and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with financial systems and complex data reporting models, such as PeopleSoft Financials and Oracle/Hyperion (SmartView, Essbase, Planning, Reporting).
• Proficiency in advanced Excel (macros, complex formulas, database functions, pivot tables) and intermediate PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in leading a financial/accounting team and/or the financial analysis, audit, planning, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and technical skills necessary to utilize and transform data and resolve problems.
