Senior Accountant – Financial Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive financial evaluations

• Assess client financial statements for precision, completeness, and adherence to GAAP prior to delivery

• Verify reconciliations, journal entries, payroll distributions, accruals, and adjustments

• Analyze accounting treatment for transactions under both accrual and cash basis reporting

• Review general ledger transactions for appropriate classification and accuracy

• Ensure that reconciliations for balance sheet accounts are thorough, accurate, and well-supported

• Confirm that payroll allocations and splits are accurate and align with client reporting requirements

• Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing details in financial records

• Clearly and professionally communicate review notes to team members responsible for corrections

• Follow up on review modifications to ensure all adjustments are applied correctly

• Adhere to company policies, accounting best practices, and specific client requirements

• Meet deadlines while maintaining thoroughness and accuracy

• Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity consistently

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial review prior to client delivery

• Direct, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is essential

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles

• Confident in working within both accrual and cash basis accounting frameworks

• Experience evaluating intricate accounting entries, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, and payroll allocations

• Advanced proficiency in Excel

• Capability to analyze and manipulate extensive datasets

• Tech-savvy and adept at quickly learning new software

• Strong references that highlight accuracy, dependability, and high performance in previous review roles

• Excellent communication abilities

• High sense of ownership, follow-through, and meticulous attention to detail

• Prior experience in a remote accounting setting

• Exposure to various industries and client types

• Advanced comprehension of complex reconciliations, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany transactions
