Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Conduct analyses of general ledger accounts by reviewing transactions to ensure precision within the GL account.

• Oversee revenue recognition processes alongside managing revenue, WIP, and deferred revenue schedules.

• Collaborate with Staff Accountants to reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis.

• Aid in the aggregation and recording of month-end expense accruals.

• Prepare journal entries for month-end closing.

• Manage and reconcile all intercompany transactions effectively.

• Investigate and suggest solutions for outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations.

• Contribute to the month-end ancillary package and assist with Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup in various functions within the Shared Service Department.

• Support internal and external audits as necessary.

• Assist with ad hoc requests as assigned.

• Participate in the development and upkeep of internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience with large ERP and Accounting Software (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Basic understanding of the technical aspects involved in account analyses and financial statements.

• Capability to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis proficiently.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting.

• Basic Excel skills are necessary (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Fluent in English.

• Must be located in Latam.
