This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee month-end closing tasks, which include the preparation and posting of journal entries, payroll entries, accruals, expense evaluations, and reconciliations.

• Supervise daily accounts payable operations by verifying and approving bills, processing AP transactions in QuickBooks Online, and addressing invoice discrepancies.

• Conduct AP reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and guarantee the accurate and timely processing of payments and financial records.

• Execute payroll runs, ensure precise employee payments, prepare payroll journal entries, and manage the resolution of payroll-related concerns.

• Act as a primary contact for vendors and external partners, handling invoice coordination, payment follow-up, and resolving issues.

• Assist with audit and compliance requirements by preparing reconciliations, addressing audit inquiries, and maintaining thorough, traceable supporting documentation.

• Research and confirm collections, bank matching items, and other outstanding transactional matters to ensure financial precision.

• Oversee system access setup, troubleshooting, and workflow coordination across tools such as TheoremReach, Relay Financial, and associated accounting platforms.

• Continuously assess, refine, and enhance closing and accounting workflows in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and minimal SOPs.

• Document accounting procedures, build process knowledge, facilitate knowledge transfer, and operate with senior-level autonomy and ownership in a rapidly changing environment.


⛳️ Requirements

• CPA designation is mandatory

• Over 10 years of progressive accounting experience

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online

• Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial workflows

• Good familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAAP

• Previous experience supporting Canadian and/or U.S.-based companies is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently

• Experience collaborating with US-based clients or firms

• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments
