This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and uphold financial documentation to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, and other associated financial activities.

• Lead and guide entry-level and intermediate accountants by teaching them how to execute more intricate financial tasks.

• Supervise and provide direction to entry-level and intermediate staff accountants.

• Offer feedback and constructive insights for performance assessments.

• Assist in the development of training programs for new personnel and identify training needs for existing staff.

• Review and comment on the work of others.

• Execute general cost accounting and other relevant responsibilities for the organization.

• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Maintain the general ledger.

• Code invoices, establish new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.

• Reconcile bank accounts at least once a month, confirm deposits, and address inquiries from banking institutions.

• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.

• Verify and/or complete payments of invoices linked to accounts payable and ensure charges are allocated to the correct accounts.

• Assist outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and documentation for the annual audit.

• Collaborate with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; recommend updates to enhance the software functionality.

• Oversee the purchasing and invoicing system.

• Stay informed about acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of GAAP.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software and Database Management.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good listening abilities.
