Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Prepare and oversee comprehensive sets of accounts across various entities and currencies.

• Conduct monthly group consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and eliminations.

• Handle multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange revaluations.

• Facilitate timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure adherence to IFRS and internal financial regulations.

• Collaborate across departments to guarantee precise data flow between Finance, Operations, and Product teams.

• Engage virtually with regional finance teams, product, and operations.

• Assume an active role in daily accounting functions, audits, and compliance efforts.

• Work directly with cloud-based systems like Xero and consolidation tools to enhance processes.

• Actively contribute to a collaborative and remote work atmosphere.

• Participate in finance transformation projects, including process automation and workflow enhancement.

• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Tech) to ensure financial precision.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of audit experience, ideally with exposure to technology or multinational clients.

• Experience in group consolidation and intercompany accounting.

• Proven expertise in multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.

• Proficient in Xero and other cloud-based accounting/consolidation platforms.

• Self-motivated with exceptional time management skills in a remote working setting.

• A genuine team player with strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and dedicated to continuous learning and improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification or progress towards ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.

• Comfortable working across different time zones within the Asia Pacific and Europe.
