Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Financial Reporting and Reconciliations: Manage the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and reports; ensure compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.

• Management of Accounting Processes: Oversee daily operations, including ledger maintenance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly financial closures.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering professional development and ensuring high levels of performance.

• Client Relations: Serve as the primary financial liaison for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and clarifying complex financial information through client meetings and email communication.

• Technical and Quality Assurance: Perform technical skills evaluations and quality control checks to maintain the highest standards of financial integrity.

• Strategic Financial Projects: Engage in strategic initiatives, such as system upgrades and process improvements, aimed at boosting operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

• Certifications: CPA or an equivalent certification is highly desirable.

• Skills:

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing and reporting financial information.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client relationship management.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
