Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• The Senior Accountant plays a vital role in delivering essential accounting support for our global enterprise. This position involves managing GL entries and reconciliations for various accounts, including payroll, accruals, and prepaids. Prior experience in accounting for deferred revenue within a SaaS company is highly advantageous.

• This position assists in global accounting operations and ensures that our team in India for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) has daily access to an accounting team member for work reviews and issue resolution. The AP team member is responsible for bank reconciliations and vendor payments, while the AR role encompasses a highly intricate billing process from contracts that demands meticulous attention to detail.

• This role will contribute to determining the accounting treatment and classification for accounts such as Leave/PTO balances, benefits, and complex revenue streams. We are looking for a problem solver who can facilitate accounting tasks when the US team is off shift!

• Our commission payment structure is intricate and varies across various sales roles. The Senior Accountant will manage global commission calculations, which necessitate the ability to track and process payments across various compensation plans. This work requires close collaboration with AR concerning customer payments, proficiency in organizing and monitoring multiple commission scenarios, and the capability to efficiently and accurately produce monthly reports for four different payroll cycles.

• Ad hoc projects will be assigned as needed. These may include tasks such as APAC corporate taxes, US 1099 work, EMEA VAT filings, stock reporting, audit assistance, and supporting operational activities.

• Ensure the security, availability, and confidentiality of all sensitive data collected, processed, or stored in this role.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA and/or Master’s degree is a significant plus.

• Over 5 years of international accounting experience, including proficiency with multiple currencies and knowledge of international accounting regulations.

• Outstanding communication skills; capable of working across various time zones and cultures; advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in advanced Excel, including pivot tables and graphical representations, along with substantial ERP system experience, particularly in configuration work (ours is NetSuite).
