Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute and assess bank reconciliations for all entities (UK, France, Ireland, UAE)

• Assist in and implement month-end closing procedures and the preparation of financial reports

• Reconcile income booked against payouts from the booking platform

• Prepare and record journals, accruals, and adjustments

• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable balances

• Track and investigate variances and discrepancies

• Aid in VAT and tax-related reporting as necessary

• Ensure accurate landlord statements and maintain financial records

• Address landlord and internal financial inquiries with precision and professionalism

• Uphold strong financial controls and ensure data integrity within Xero

• Offer guidance and quality assurance on tasks performed by junior finance team members when applicable

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience

• Extensive experience in full-cycle accounting and reconciliations

• Solid practical knowledge of VAT, profit and loss statements, balance sheet control accounts, creditors, and debtors

• Demonstrated experience with accounting software, preferably Xero

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of financial outputs

• Experience with multiple entities or international markets is a significant advantage

• Formal accounting qualifications or certifications are beneficial, though not mandatory
