Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Ensure that accounting records are maintained accurately and are up-to-date, in compliance with local accounting standards.

• Generate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Supervise accounts payable and receivable, conduct reconciliations, and guarantee timely settlements.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns along with other necessary statutory filings.

• Assist in annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.

• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting financial analyses.

• Manage payroll and all related statutory responsibilities.

• Oversee and execute payments for e-commerce transactions, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and well-documented.

• Establish and uphold internal controls to protect company assets.

• Provide ad hoc financial assistance to management as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.

• A professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• At least 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in Cyprus.

• In-depth knowledge of Cypriot tax and VAT regulations.

• Experience with e-commerce payments or processing online transactions.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Navision, QuickBooks, or Xero.

• Strong command of MS Excel and Google Docs.

• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong communication abilities in English (knowledge of Greek is an advantage).
