Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting functions across various entities

• Assist with financial reporting and analysis

• Take ownership of fundamental accounting processes

• Provide insights that aid in business decision-making

• Progress towards an Accounting Manager or Financial Controller position

• Collaborate closely with the CEO

• Ensure accuracy in financial reporting, visibility, and enhancement of processes

• Manage the complete cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) across multiple entities

• Maintain a precise and GAAP-compliant general ledger utilizing QuickBooks Online

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card transactions

• Handle payroll transactions and liaise with external payroll service providers

• Supervise vendor workflows through Bill.com and DEXT

• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations

• Facilitate and execute month-end and year-end closure processes

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements

• Aid in the consolidation of financials across various entities

• Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and timely

• Help in the preparation of cash flow reports and forecasts

• Analyze financial data and provide insights regarding trends and variances

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Contribute to the tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal policies

• Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation

• Document processes and enhance accounting workflows

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on financial data and reporting requirements

• Support pricing, cost analysis, and other business initiatives

• Gradually assume greater ownership and leadership roles over time

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, with substantial exposure to full-cycle accounting

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

• Practical experience with:

• o Month-end closing processes

• o Financial reporting (P&L, reconciliations)

• o Accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and management of the general ledger

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online

• Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote, fast-paced setting

• Must possess personal equipment

• Experience in multi-entity accounting environments

• Familiarity with cash flow forecasting and financial analysis

• CPA, CMA, or currently pursuing a professional certification

• Experience with US-based companies

• Background in legal, professional services, or technology sectors
