Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Accounts payable: input vendor invoices and ensure timely and precise payments.

• Accounts receivable: generate invoices, log and reconcile incoming payments, including ACHs and wire transfers, while monitoring A/R aging reports for overdue accounts.

• Credit card transactions: record transactions from the company credit card to the appropriate G/L accounts, ensuring each transaction is associated with the correct operating division and customer when applicable.

• New customer job codes: establish new job codes in the accounting system upon requests from team members, ensuring consistency of dates across all company systems and reports.

• Intercompany elimination entries: post journal entries for intercompany elimination in the general ledger related to intercompany revenue and project costs across divisions.

• Accounting and operational schedules: update accounting schedules such as deferred revenue and prepaid expenses monthly to guarantee accuracy of balance accounts.

• Balance sheet reconciliations: reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and various balance sheet accounts every month.

• General ledger maintenance: ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts while complying with internal policies.

• Financial close: assist in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Administrative support: occasionally provide assistance for administrative finance and operation-related tasks.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional experience.

• Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications and possess technical savvy.

• 1-3 years of accounting experience in a rapidly growing company with project-based revenue.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online.

• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel.
