Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee and monitor Accounts Payable Management in a prompt manner.

• Handle Payroll Processing, Expense Management, and Accrual Accounting.

• Execute Month-End Close procedures and perform Reconciliations.

• Assess and oversee purchase requests, invoices, and workflow approvals.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and vendor agreements while addressing discrepancies as they arise.

• Document and reconcile payroll transactions for both employees and contractors.

• Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee data is maintained for payroll purposes.

• Administer payroll tax calculations and filings in line with regulatory requirements.

• Track and monitor expenses across various platforms to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

• Comprehend general ledger coding and conduct monthly reconciliations for accounts related to AP, payroll, and accruals.

• Perform flux analysis to detect and explain significant deviations in financial performance.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams (HR, Procurement, and Operations) to address outstanding financial issues.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or a comparable professional certification is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in accounts payable, payroll processing, and month-end close.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and payroll platforms.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).

• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Outstanding communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with multi-entity or international payroll processing is preferred.

• Familiarity with process automation tools and software is preferred.

• Background in flux analysis and financial forecasting is desirable.
