Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the month-end close process.

• Manage digital asset transactions, customer custodial funds, revenue recognition, and additional areas.

• Analyze variances and trends in financial statement line items, providing insightful commentary.

• Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly footnote disclosures.

• Support internal and external audit inquiries by supplying timely documentation and analyses.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and aid in the implementation of scalable accounting practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend and account for new transaction types.

• Contribute to special projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably encompassing public accounting and/or industry experience.

• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.

• CPA or equivalent qualification is required.

• In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.

• Experience in fintech, digital assets, or financial services is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.

• Ability to manage multiple competing deliverables.

• Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines and taking ownership of complex areas.

• Capacity to learn swiftly in a dynamic and fast-paced financial environment.
