This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and record journal entries.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial documents.
• Maintain schedules for fixed assets and prepaid items as required.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial documentation.
• Oversee or assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Coordinate tax reporting and collaborate with external tax professionals.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
• Analyze financial outcomes and offer valuable recommendations to management.
• Identify avenues for enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
• Utilize automation and AI-driven tools where suitable to enhance workflows.
• Assist with ERP system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements in financial systems.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, tax departments, and external advisors on strategic projects.
• Create reports and financial data to aid executive decision-making.
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Xero, or other similar ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• CPA designation preferred (either active or in progress).
• Experience in a multi-entity setting.
• Familiarity with audit support and tax compliance.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in implementing accounting automation or financial technology solutions.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, legal, financial services, or multi-company environments.
