This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage comprehensive accounting operations for a portfolio of U.S.-based SMB clients, handling up to 30 accounts with exceptional accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including financial reviews, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Examine financial data, detect trends and discrepancies, and confidently communicate insights to clients during regular meetings.
• Review and supervise accounting tasks performed by junior team members, offering guidance, delegation, and ensuring quality control.
• Serve as a primary escalation point for complex accounting matters, client inquiries, and accounting clean-up initiatives.
• Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication, effective problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service.
• Promote operational excellence by enhancing workflows, supporting system integration, and upholding internal process standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 7 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in outsourced accounting firms, multi-client settings, or dynamic service-oriented companies.
• Significant hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Demonstrated experience working with U.S.-based clients, including the presentation of financial reports and explanations of financial results.
• Experience in managing high-volume client portfolios and overseeing accounting processes for junior team members.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient with modern accounting software and systems (Karbon, Bill.com, payroll platforms, Microsoft 365, etc.) and tech-savvy.
• Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
