Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that they are accurate, timely, and complete.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• Maintain the general ledger while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

• Manage the cycles of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.

• Supervise revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with ASC 606.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows and automate manual processes.

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to validate revenue and expenses.

• Communicate effectively and proactively in a remote-first work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 4–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and standards for revenue recognition.

• Advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).

• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• CPA or CPA-track designation is preferred.

• Experience in a startup or high-growth company is preferred.

• Experience in a SaaS, ad-tech, or technology-driven environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with automated AP/AR tools, CRM integrations, or BI dashboards is preferred.
