This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including attending trade shows, conducting research through publications and online resources, engaging with various organizations, and making cold calls among other activities.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector, including its structure, opportunities, trends, and challenges.
• Build strong business relationships and effectively communicate the full range of solutions to align with customer objectives and achieve sales targets, volume, and market share.
• Maintain open communication with customers to comprehend their needs and concerns, ensuring our solutions align with their goals.
• Achieve established benchmarks for activities and outcomes, such as the number of initial calls, letters of authorization or intent, sales volume, and ultimately, gross margin targets.
• Prepare and deliver professional proposals that address all customer needs and concerns, including financial considerations.
• Keep in touch with customers throughout the installation period to address any additional needs or concerns that may arise.
• Track the progress of account plans, including market conditions, customer requirements, and competitive activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline.
• A minimum of seven (7+) years of industry experience in selling large-scale solutions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven expertise in successful sales negotiation and closing techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Capable of drafting and writing proposals, reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
