Segment Manager, Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee marketing and sales initiatives related to ABB’s products, systems, and services within the Data Center industry sector in Germany.

• Ensure significant enhancements in sales performance, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction across the division and associated sales units.

• Formulate and execute a market-driven strategy for the Data Center segment, including direct, third-party, and project-based sales approaches.

• Foster collaboration across divisions and regions to bolster ABB’s market presence.

• Manage and coordinate Data Center projects within both the German and international ABB organizations.

• Grow and strategically advance the Data Center segment in Germany.

• Create application concepts in medium voltage, low-voltage switchgear (NSHV), and UPS systems.

• Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and external stakeholders.

• Design and implement marketing campaigns and plans in partnership with both German and international marketing teams.

• Act as a representative for ABB in pertinent industry associations and working groups.

• Leverage market intelligence and benchmarking to pinpoint industry trends, product deficiencies, and competitor strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in the Data Center sector within Germany, preferably with international experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in the sales of technical products and systems for electrical energy distribution and/or supply, particularly in critical infrastructure settings.

• Profound technical knowledge of relevant power and automation technologies.

• In-depth understanding of the German Data Center market along with a well-established professional network.

• Strategic, analytical, and collaborative mindset, adept at working efficiently across business units and geographical locations.

• Proficient in English (both spoken and written); German language skills are a significant asset.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related discipline.
