This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana, +2 more states.
• Oversee daily security operations tasks, which encompass alert assessment, escalation management, case tracking, and support for managed security services or internal monitoring activities.
• Manage incident response initiatives, including triage, tabletop exercises, documentation, evidence preservation, operational security preparedness, communication support, and follow-up on remediation actions.
• Assist with identity and access management processes, which involve provisioning governance, privileged access controls, periodic access evaluations, and separation-of-duties management.
• Coordinate remediation actions stemming from internal and external security evaluations, penetration tests, audits, and regulatory assessments, ensuring tracking of findings until resolution and reporting status to the Vice President of Cybersecurity.
• Oversee and manage security tools, dashboards, logging mechanisms, endpoint controls, cloud security monitoring, and other operational cybersecurity measures.
• Support third-party security evaluations by gathering documentation, tracking findings, and ensuring monitoring of remediation commitments.
• Aid in policy administration, control validation, testing support, and preparation of evidence for audits, examinations, and regulatory assessments.
• Generate operational metrics and reports for the Vice President of Cybersecurity, focusing on trends, incidents, control effectiveness, and risk indicators.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and digital delivery teams while emphasizing effective execution of security controls and independent escalation of issues.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security, with a focus on hands-on operational security tasks.
• Proven experience in supporting security operations, identity and access management, incident response, vulnerability management, and security tooling.
• Experience within a financial institution or another regulated environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft security tools, cloud security measures, endpoint protection, logging and monitoring, and audit support processes.
• Relevant certifications are preferred, such as Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, or equivalent based on experience level.
