Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing vulnerability activities, including reviewing scan outcomes and aiding in the validation of findings.

• Support the assessment of security issues identified through internal tools and external sources.

• Help analyze logs and alerts from SIEM systems to detect potential security threats.

• Participate in preliminary security incident investigations and documentation processes.

• Aid in the implementation and enhancement of security controls within AWS and Kubernetes environments.

• Contribute to the advancement of detection capabilities and monitoring coverage.

• Learn and engage in securing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to comprehend and address security concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Cybersecurity or a related discipline.

• Basic knowledge of computer systems, networking principles, and security fundamentals.

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.

• Interest in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and infrastructure systems.

• Fundamental understanding of common security concepts, such as vulnerabilities, authentication, and OWASP Top 10.

• Exposure to programming or scripting languages like Python, Go, or Bash.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn and take initiative in task ownership.
