Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• In the role of Security Engineer at Offchain Labs, you will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing our cloud security posture while collaborating across various teams to ensure that our operations remain secure, compliant, and in alignment with regulatory and industry best practices, including SOC2.

• Utilize your extensive background in Cloud Security to architect, implement, and refine secure cloud-native frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

• Employ your profound knowledge in cloud infrastructure security to proactively spot risks, enforce best practices, and strengthen systems throughout the entire technology stack.

• Automate security measures and provide education to developers to safeguard against future vulnerabilities.

• Actively contribute to the design and advancement of the company’s overarching information security governance and compliance program through the development of policies, standards, procedures, and awareness initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to ensure that security controls align with both business goals and technical realities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a security engineering position.

• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.

• Previous experience with a focus on infrastructure security and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of secret management tools such as Vault or KMS.

• Strong grasp of fundamental information security principles and major regulatory frameworks/standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).

• Experience in conducting security design evaluations, threat modeling, and security assessments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical information as clear, risk-oriented recommendations.
