This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Oversee the strategizing, implementation, and setup of security tools, ensuring they align with organizational requirements and integrate smoothly with current systems.
• Identify and resolve issues with security tools in real-time to sustain their efficacy, minimize downtime, and guarantee peak performance.
• Investigate, evaluate, and propose new security technologies based on the evolving threat landscape and organizational demands.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure effective integration of security tools within various systems, including both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop scripts and automation workflows to enhance the efficiency and dependability of security tools, reducing repetitive tasks and shortening response times.
• Compose and uphold comprehensive documentation of security tool configurations, troubleshooting methods, and best practices to ensure uniform processes and knowledge sharing.
• Work alongside other security teams, such as incident response and vulnerability management, to pinpoint tool requirements, exchange insights, and bolster overall security capabilities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on security tools, offering training and support to junior team members and stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, emphasizing security engineering, tool deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or vendor-specific certifications for security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Netskope, Tenable, or similar).
• Strong practical experience with a wide range of security tools, including endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management, EDR, DLP, and network security tools.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software security solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for the automation of tasks related to tool deployment and management.
• Understanding of network protocols, cloud environments, and security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS).
• Experience with configuring and managing tools in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
