Security Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee security dashboards, alerts, and queues from automated systems, as well as escalated tickets, to identify potential threats.

• Execute preliminary investigations into security alerts and take rapid response measures, such as securing user accounts.

• Gather necessary log data for subsequent analysis.

• Assess the scope and severity of incidents, resolve basic issues, and refer complex cases to Level 2 Analysts for further handling.

• Review and implement authorized routine modifications to security tools, including requests for EDR client exemptions and temporary testing adjustments.

• Collaborate effectively with security analysts and engineers.

• Engage with end-users and clients to collect details, clarify security procedures, and offer guidance for incident resolution.

• Coordinate security responses alongside Reactive Support, Client Strategy, NOC, and other relevant departments.

• Maintain comprehensive records of investigations, actions, communications, and resolutions within ConnectWise.

• Deliver prompt support for security inquiries while adopting a professional, customer-service-oriented demeanor.

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in the field of Cybersecurity.

• 3–5 years of experience in an IT role involving log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting.

• Possession of CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 certification, or actively working towards one.

• Practical experience with at least one EDR/SIEM platform, such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, or Microsoft Sentinel.

• Direct experience utilizing ConnectWise Manage for documentation of tickets.

• Proven ability to maintain clear, timestamped, audit-ready incident notes.

• Familiarity with at least one of SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer with Security log IDs like 4624/4625/4648, or a ticket-based alert queue.

• Proficient in communicating professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Capable of drafting business correspondence and procedural documents.

• Able to effectively present information and address inquiries from managers, clients, and the general public.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with a proactive approach to accuracy and thoroughness.

• Commitment to exceptional customer service and surpassing client expectations.

• Eager to learn and adapt to changing technology trends.

• Dependable attendance and full alertness during scheduled shifts.

• Capable of working extended periods while sitting or standing and regularly utilizing computers and office equipment.

• U.S. citizenship required due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems.

• Must have a dedicated, secure, distraction-free workspace that complies with Ntiva IT User and Security Policies.

• Willingness and ability to travel if necessary, though travel is anticipated to be infrequent.

• Ability to work Monday–Thursday from 12am to 11am CST after completing the required day-shift training and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
