GRC Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform security risk assessments and document identified risks, control deficiencies, and suggested subsequent actions.

• Assist in enhancing the Governance, Risk, and Compliance program.

• Ensure the maintenance of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.

• Organize audits and assessments, which include evidence gathering, control validation, documentation, and tracking of remediation actions.

• Align security controls with HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, CIS, CMS, and URAC frameworks.

• Facilitate compliance monitoring and initiatives for regulatory preparedness.

• Keep risk registers, issue logs, corrective action plans, compliance metrics, and governance documentation updated.

• Collaborate with technology teams to resolve vulnerabilities, control weaknesses, and compliance issues.

• Engage in risk intake, assessment, prioritization, escalation, and continuous monitoring.

• Aid in third-party risk management and vendor security evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.

• 2–5 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), information security, risk management, auditing, compliance, cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Experience in supporting risk assessments, compliance evaluations, audits, control testing, or governance activities.

• Familiarity with working in a regulated industry or compliance-focused environment.

• Knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule.

• Understanding of information security governance, risk management, and compliance principles.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
