Secure WAN, SASE Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Create and execute secure, scalable architectures for Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE tailored for enterprise environments.

• Install, configure, and enhance Fortinet solutions such as FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE, and FortiAuthenticator.

• Design robust network infrastructures that guarantee resilience, redundancy, and continuity of business operations.

• Oversee migration initiatives from conventional WAN or third-party SD-WAN solutions to Fortinet Secure WAN & SASE.

• Set up application-aware routing, dynamic path selection, WAN optimization, and policies for traffic steering.

• Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) along with secure remote access features for dispersed workforces.

• Integrate Fortinet solutions with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud as necessary.

• Configure VPN technologies such as IPsec VPN and SSL VPN to ensure secure site-to-site and remote connectivity.

• Establish centralized policy management, monitoring, and reporting through FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.

• Enhance network and security performance via policy tuning, analytics, and proactive monitoring.

• Resolve complex networking and security challenges across WAN, LAN, cloud, and remote access environments.

• Generate technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to provide secure networking solutions that meet business objectives.

• Offer technical support and facilitate knowledge transfer to operational teams post-deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE solutions within enterprise settings.

• Strong practical experience with FortiGate firewalls and the Fortinet Security Fabric.

• Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiSASE.

• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP Routing (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, NAT, DNS, and DHCP.

• Proven experience in deploying and supporting IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).

• Knowledge of SD-WAN design, application steering, WAN optimization, and configurations for high availability.

• Understanding of cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud platforms.

• Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, network segmentation, and Zero Trust architectures.

• Experience with migration projects related to WAN modernization or SASE implementation.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate successfully with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Fortinet certifications (NSE 4/5/6/7 or the latest Fortinet Certified Professional/Solution Specialist certifications) are highly sought after.

• Proficiency in the French language is beneficial but not essential.
