This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the execution of the established Connections Academy curriculum and operational protocols for the school;
• Ensure the academic achievement of all students by leveraging all available levels of academic support and maintaining effective communication with parents to provide program updates and address individual student requirements;
• Guarantee that teachers demonstrate and uphold a high standard of professionalism, instructional support, and customer service;
• Manage relationships with the Indiana Department of Education, staying updated on state policies, procedures, and legislation, including specific count day and audit procedures, while accurately submitting all necessary reports and documentation promptly;
• Enhance school accountability metrics in accordance with state and federal regulations;
• Collaborate with the school's K12 Administrators and staff to develop, implement, manage, and monitor the School Improvement Plan;
• Partner with Pearson Virtual Schools to coordinate efforts in marketing, enrollment, curriculum, human resources, and training;
• Assist teaching staff in the implementation of any program modifications and/or introductions of new software applications;
• Comprehend and support efficiencies within the school budget;
• Maintain high-quality communication with all Connections Academy school personnel, students, and families;
• Address student issues escalated by parents and teachers;
• Guide and facilitate the implementation and coordination of the state standardized testing process, ensuring high student participation rates;
• Provide assistance to families requiring additional support to promote high levels of participation;
• Engage in student recruitment initiatives, including presentations, Q&A sessions, and media interactions;
• Foster a vibrant “school community” through a state-wide program featuring in-person field trips, student events (such as Prom), and Graduation;
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate all school staff as mandated by state regulations;
• Act as a member of the Connections Academy team to develop and refine best practices for K-12 virtual education;
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• An administration license is mandatory;
• A minimum of 5 years of educational experience, with some background in administration or management;
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to goal-oriented management and accountability;
• A passion for enhancing educational delivery through the use of technology in all aspects of instructional and school management;
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities;
• A customer-centric approach;
• Adaptability and flexibility;
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
• A collaborative team player;
• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite;
• Willingness to travel to meet the needs of the school and staff, primarily in-state, with some out-of-state travel required.
