This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Must possess the necessary qualifications and certification to teach High School Math in Florida (6-12 certification is essential).

• A Professional level Florida certificate is required.

• Preferred candidates will have a Gifted endorsement or certification in Florida.

• An ESOL endorsement or certification in Florida is mandatory.

• Comprehensive understanding of Florida’s RtI and MTSS procedures is essential.

• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.

• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• A customer-focused mindset is important.

• Must exhibit a high level of flexibility.

• Proven capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Track record of being a collaborative team player.

• Statewide travel is required for administering state testing (this may involve overnight travel).

• Capability to work remotely, if necessary.

• Availability to work occasional evening hours to support families as needed.

• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email account for 2-step authentication.


⛳️ Requirements

• Assist in delivering the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

• Evaluate the curriculum and create alternative methods to present lessons to enhance student comprehension (engaging directly with students and parents).

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow educators to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess scores, provide feedback on student work, recommend instructional methods and strategies, monitor assignment completion, and support special projects.

• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that all students are making satisfactory progress in the program, that parents have a consistent point of contact, and that responsibilities are effectively shared among teachers.

• Acquire a general understanding of the K-12 curriculum of the entire program and a detailed understanding of the specific courses for which one is responsible.

• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and offer additional support for daily assignments and projects.

• Create suitable academic and behavioral interventions for all students and conduct frequent progress monitoring.

• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and curriculum specialists through computer and telephone.

• Maintain up-to-date student records and data, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance logs, and documentation of all interactions with students and parents.

• Collaborate with other teachers and learning specialists to develop alternative enrichment activities and modifications to enhance student comprehension.

• Coordinate social activities and relevant field trips for students with fellow educators.

• Manage regional field trips and strive to integrate these experiences into the curriculum.

• Design and implement virtual strategies to foster a sense of “school community.”

• Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed.

• Take part in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives requiring teacher involvement.

• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that students and families receive appropriate communications, that students are making sufficient progress, and that established goals are being achieved.

• Attend field trips and community activities organized for families.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
