Secondary ELA Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual small-group instruction to K-12 students across the United States.

• Deliver virtual ELA and Math tutoring sessions.

• Teach lower-level high school ELA.

• Support school partners by facilitating engagement opportunities, including summer academies and remediation support.

• Dedicate several hours each week to engagements lasting approximately fourteen to thirty weeks.

• Log in early, perform light preparation, and document session notes as stipulated in the compensation details.

• Show interest in and accept available tutoring engagements after joining the TbT teacher community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a teacher in the United States.

• Proven experience in teaching Math in a classroom setting.

• Familiarity with online teaching environments.

• Proficient knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.

• Background in remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction is advantageous.

• Experience with secondary math is a plus.

• Special Education (SPED) or English Language Learner (ELL) teaching experience is a bonus.

• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

• Experience with Advanced Placement (AP) courses is beneficial.

• A commitment to promoting equity in schools is a bonus.

• An active teaching credential is an added advantage.

🏝️ Benefits

• Up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus.

• $35.30 for each one-hour tutoring session including the bonus.

• Rates of $28-$30 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus for certain engagements.

• Compensation typically is $32.00 per hour of tutoring along with a 10% bonus.

• Compensation rates range from $28-36 per instructional hour plus a 10% bonus for select engagements.
