This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

đź“‹ Description

• Develop and implement thorough test cases that encompass all reconciliation scenarios—matched, missing, duplicate, mismatch, and unmatched records—ensuring comprehensive accuracy throughout the platform.

• Generate strong test data sets that reflect edge cases, boundary situations, and real-world financial scenarios to assess system performance under varied conditions.

• Conduct regression testing following each build to detect regressions and confirm that previously resolved issues remain fixed.

• Verify reconciliation outputs by manually checking Excel and PDF reports against expected results, with a keen focus on amount discrepancies, date precision, and ID-level comparisons.

• Create and sustain automated test frameworks utilizing pytest or similar tools to enhance test coverage and minimize manual testing efforts.

• Record detailed test outcomes and defect reports with clear reproduction steps, severity ratings, and supporting evidence for engineering teams.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to grasp requirements, clarify test scenarios, and communicate quality metrics and obstacles.

• Approve data accuracy and report integrity prior to production releases, ensuring stakeholder trust in reconciliation outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional QA testing experience, preferably with a focus on fintech or insurance sectors.

• Proven capability to craft detailed, comprehensive test cases for intricate, data-intensive financial workflows.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel for manual verification of reconciliation outputs, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functionalities.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies at the amount, date, and ID levels.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to document findings clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative testing processes.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with effective self-management of time.

• Nice to have: Experience in testing AI-generated outputs for consistency, accuracy, and bias identification.

• Proficient with pytest, unittest, or other Python-based test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with reconciliation processes, data matching algorithms, or financial workflows.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing.

• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and test data generation.

• Exposure to API testing or end-to-end testing tools.

• Background in fintech, insurance, or regulated financial services.
