This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist us in comprehending how scientific and educational language functions in your language.
• Clarify how concepts are typically organized, introduced, and elaborated upon in written form.
• Facilitate the appropriate use of AI for linguistic adaptation, moving beyond mere literal translation.
• Assess and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure they are conceptually sound, natural, and credible in your language, suitable for scientific and academic settings.
• Recognize instances where an AI translation may be formally accurate but conceptually or stylistically inappropriate.
• Propose tools, workflows, or strategies for effectively adapting English content using AI.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Korean, Japanese, or Arabic.
• Profound understanding of written language conventions, particularly in the fields of science or education.
• Background as translators, researchers, educators, developers, or contributors with a strong grasp of AI.
• Capability to articulate how and why language is structured in specific ways in your language.
• We are in the early stages, and contributions are currently based on voluntary participation and/or micro-equity, depending on the role, level of commitment, and duration.
• Upon securing funding, we aim to recognize and formalize the contributions of those who have supported Maxibook from its inception.
