This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guarantee that all content is based on evidence, maintains editorial excellence, aligns strategically with client goals, and translates into clinical advantages.
• Offer scientific and medical knowledge, strategic direction, and insights for designated therapeutic areas and brands.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Directors to create engaging medical communications programs.
• Act as the scientific team leader and primary quality-control point for both internal and external content development.
• Write, review, and guide Medical Writers, Editors, and Graphic Artists.
• Evaluate and interpret complex medical documents and oversee analyses conducted by junior team members.
• Lead or assist in discussions about content with authors and clients.
• Manage and mentor Medical Writers.
• Stay informed through literature searches, medical conferences, and competitor evaluations.
• Provide scientific and strategic context to writers, editors, and team members.
• Identify and assist in the development of new clients and business prospects.
• Oversee content development timelines and manage expectations.
• Supervise regulatory review processes and ensure consistency across client teams.
• Attend and contribute to the design of advisory board meetings.
• Aid in strategic planning, business development presentations, content standards, processes, resource allocation, and staff training.
• Report directly to the Vice President – Content Development.
• An advanced life sciences degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD.
• Significant experience in medical writing.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a communication agency.
• Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and EndNote.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Professional interaction skills with clients and thought leaders across various therapeutic areas.
• Willingness and capability to travel moderately to extensively based on team assignments.
