This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage one or more accounts; assist in defining and implementing integrated medical/scientific communication strategies (including publication planning and communication tactics)
• Act as a primary scientific liaison for client stakeholders and clinical leaders
• Supervise the production of high-quality content for manuscripts, congress materials, and training materials
• Perform thorough scientific reviews to ensure accuracy, alignment, and stylistic coherence
• Guarantee adherence to applicable industry standards
• Facilitate scientific discussions, workshops, speaker training sessions, and advisory boards
• Oversee 3–5 direct reports (writers/ASDs); carry out performance evaluations, set objectives, and support career development
• Assist in scoping and resource planning for assigned projects; proactively address risks
• An advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related discipline is preferred (e.g., MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD)
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in medical communications/medical writing
• At least 1+ years of experience in people management and coaching
• Exceptional skills in scientific writing, editing, and data interpretation
• Solid understanding of clinical research and the regulatory landscape
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, graphic and image generation software, and collaboration platforms
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Remote/hybrid work options based on location
• Occasional overnight travel (up to approximately 20%)
