SAP S/4 HANA ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Analyze and comprehend customer needs and specifications.

• Translate business requirements into the necessary technological solutions.

• Create essential components of the solution, encompassing security protocols, infrastructure, custom adapter development, and application interfaces.

• Write progressively complex code for single-threaded or event-driven applications, whether standalone or those interfacing with servers or services.

• Develop the code required to complete assigned projects within designated timeframes and in accordance with departmental standards.

• Lead and engage in code and design reviews to ensure high quality.

• Design and verify that unit and integration testing is carried out to maintain quality.

• Create, modify, and troubleshoot software for client applications.

• Provide support for completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and during its production phase.

• Actively contribute to the documentation of software requirements, functional designs, flowcharts, and diagrams.

• Assist in the construction of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) items.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in SAP/ABAP development.

• A minimum of 2 years with a focus on migrating SAP S/4HANA from on-premises to cloud.

• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level is essential.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with over 10 years of SAP development experience.

• Proven experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4HANA, and other IT systems.

• Familiarity with any SAP S/4HANA modules (PM, HCM, PP, PS, FI, CO, SD, IM, etc.).

• Practical knowledge of various ABAP concepts and techniques, such as Function Modules, Object-Oriented ABAP, BOR, User Exits, Workflow, Enhancements, Reports, Dialog Programming, Webdynpro, LSMW, and SAP interfacing technologies.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA features like Data Modeling, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), AMDP, CDS views, BOPF, OData services, Native SQL, ABAP Core Data Services, and HANA Live model consumption.

• Experience in conversions within SAP S/4HANA using the Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC).

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem analysis skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Awareness of Agile methodologies or related project waterfall methodologies.

• Knowledge of front-end Fiori development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).

• Experience in designing and implementing modern UI5 or Fiori-style front-end User Interfaces leveraging SAP libraries and techniques.

• SAP certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in S/4HANA implementation is advantageous.
