SAP IS-U, S/4 Utilities Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Engage in a complex and highly pertinent system landscape, assuming responsibility for critical business processes.

• Provide consulting and contribute to the enhancement of SAP IS-U / S/4 Utilities systems.

• Oversee market communication (MaKo) and metering processes (WiM).

• Conduct analysis, optimization, and stabilization of end-to-end processes (e.g., supplier switch, MSB).

• Implement and support regulatory requirements and format modifications (e.g., BDEW, IM4G).

• Perform error analysis and resolution in the EDIFACT/EDI environment (UTILMD, MSCONS, INVOIC, etc.).

• Assist in and implement customization and ABAP (OO) requirements.

• Integrate interfaces (IDoc, APIs, middleware, SAP PI/PO).

• Participate in or lead projects related to Smart Metering and S/4 transformation.

• Conduct testing and quality assurance activities.

• Act as a liaison between the business sector and IT, bridging both domains together.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in the SAP IS-U or S/4 Utilities environment.

• Strong understanding of the energy sector and market processes.

• Expertise in MaKo, WiM, EDM, balancing (Bilanzierung), or MSB.

• Familiarity with EDIFACT, EDI processes, and error resolution.

• Technical knowledge (e.g., ABAP, interfaces, SAP architectures).

• Analytical, structured, and solution-focused work approach.

• Proactive mentality with a passion for tackling complex challenges.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

• Ability to work independently in a project-driven environment.
