This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Facilitate requirements workshops that involve finance, controlling, and tax stakeholders.
• Identify solutions that are in line with business goals.
• Design and configure FI and CO processes, encompassing General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Internal Orders, and Product Costing.
• Create and validate comprehensive integration scenarios between FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and external systems.
• Generate functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and reports.
• Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams throughout build and transport phases.
• Spearhead data migration strategies and execution for both master and transactional data.
• Manage data mapping, cleansing, LSMW/BDC/DTM/IDoc, and advanced ETL techniques.
• Lead unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing efforts.
• Develop test plans and ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Supervise go-live planning and provide hypercare support.
• Address complex production incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Ensure that finance process design complies with Colombian statutory, tax, and reporting regulations.
• Provide oversight for change control, release management, and documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level FICO consultants.
• At least nine (9) years of hands-on, demonstrable SAP FICO experience in implementations, rollouts, or large-scale support projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FI modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, and Banks.
• Extensive knowledge of CO modules: CCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and COPA.
• Experience with data migration and integration technologies, including IDoc, BAPI, APIs, and reporting solutions.
• Strong grasp of business finance processes, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and internal control measures.
• Willingness to work during after-hours for periodic month-end closings, go-lives, and critical support periods.
• Familiarity with Colombian statutory, tax, and reporting obligations, including VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing, and DIAN compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in oral English.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation is highly desirable; strong ECC experience is acceptable.
• SAP certification in FI, CO, or S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of tax and electronic invoicing regulations in Colombia and Latin America is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Central Finance, Financial Closing Cockpit, or SAP Fiori finance applications is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SAP BW, SAC, S/4HANA embedded analytics, and SQL is desirable.
• Experience with Agile/SAP Activate methodology and DevOps practices is a plus.
