SAP Data Migration Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Director of IT Business Systems – SAP, overseeing the SAP data migration initiatives for Curtiss-Wright.

• Formulate the strategy for data migration and create an execution plan.

• Manage intricate data cleansing and design requirements for data migration.

• Lead the entire data migration process, which includes identifying sources, mapping, extracting, transforming, and loading data.

• Collaborate with business process owners, SAP Functional Leads, and SAP Technical teams to outline the scope and manage design complexity.

• Create data mock plans, establish mock data loads, and construct mock dashboards.

• Facilitate data mapping workshops and execute data migration tasks using SAP Data Services.

• Offer expertise in ETL, data tiering, data cleansing, and migration methodologies.

• Create and manage the data catalog, resource plan, and schedule.

• Develop and maintain documents related to data conversion.

• Update leadership on the progress of data migration activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Over 10 years of experience with industry-standard Extract, Transform, Load methodologies.

• Proficiency in translating business requirements into SAP Functional Technical Specifications.

• Ability to comprehend and convert data conversion requirements into Conversion Design Documents.

• At least 10 years of experience with SAP Data Services and/or other ETL software or tools.

• Practical experience with SAP data migration technologies, such as S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and LSMW.

• Knowledge of IDOC is advantageous.

• Familiarity with one or more SAP domains, including Finance or Controlling, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Manufacturing, or Supplier Relationship.

• Experience in data analysis and SAP data analysis.

• Understanding of the SAP data model.

• Hands-on experience with SAP table structures and SAP query (SQVI).

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to serve as a liaison among business analysts and developers.

• Experience working in either a Waterfall or Agile environment.
