SAP Ariba Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage comprehensive testing for SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA procurement-related solutions.

• Examine product behavior, business workflows, and system modifications to establish test coverage, even in the absence of formal documentation.

• Proactively identify test scenarios, edge cases, dependencies, and integration impacts across both upstream and downstream procurement processes.

• Create, implement, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Design and improve a reusable test automation framework/approach for SAP Ariba and associated procurement applications.

• Validate procurement business processes in areas such as requisitioning, sourcing, contracts, supplier lifecycle, purchasing, catalogs, invoicing, and supplier collaboration.

• Collaborate closely with product, functional, development, and support teams to comprehend requirements, clarify expected behaviors, and ensure comprehensive quality coverage.

• Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects, bugs, and quality issues until resolution.

• Assist in test planning, release validation, regression cycles, production readiness, and post-release verification.

• Regularly review and update test strategies and cases to incorporate new product functionalities and process modifications.

• Contribute to root cause analysis, issue triage, and the resolution of application-related challenges.

• Support integration and workflow validation across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, and other interconnected systems.

• Participate as a member of an agile/DevOps team and help promote quality from both product and operational perspectives.

• Mentor team members on QA best practices, product-based testing methodologies, and automation techniques as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in QA, test automation, or quality engineering.

• More than 3 years of experience with SAP Ariba applications, ideally within both upstream and downstream procurement areas.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA procurement or related procure-to-pay/source-to-pay processes.

• Strong understanding of procurement workflows, including one or more of the following:

• SAP Ariba Sourcing

• SAP Ariba Contracts

• SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance

• SAP Ariba Buying

• SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing

• SAP Ariba Catalog

• SAP Ariba Invoice Management

• SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite

• SAP Ariba Strategic Procurement

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, quickly grasp systems, and define testing strategies with minimal documentation or guidance.

• Extensive experience in developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.

• Practical experience with automation tools such as Playwright using Java or JavaScript.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to investigate ambiguous behaviors and determine expected results.

• Experience in defect management, regression testing, and end-to-end validation.
