Salesforce Solution Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for the designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions that support The Salvation Army in Canada.

• Influence the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and efficient Salesforce solutions.

• Guide the development and deployment of integrations, security frameworks, and customizations of solutions.

• Offer technical direction and advocate for best practices within the assigned squad.

• Design solutions that align business needs with long-term organizational and technology goals.

• Support technical decision-making throughout the Salesforce development lifecycle.

• Coordinate agile activities within the squad to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality solutions.

• Integrate security, integration, and customization requirements into solution designs and deployments.

• Assist the development team in overcoming complex technical challenges and ensuring platform integrity.

• Deliver innovative, reliable, and sustainable Salesforce solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in computer science or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Salesforce Certification is mandatory.

• 5–10 years of experience in Salesforce solutions, encompassing large-scale implementations, solution and technical architecture, cloud technologies, security, data management, and application design and development within complex enterprise environments.

• Expert knowledge of Salesforce best practices, methodologies, and technologies.

• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and configuring Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and Experience Cloud solutions.

• Advanced technical communication skills, including the ability to present complex architectural ideas, strategies, and recommendations to technical audiences.

• Capability to analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable, cloud-based technology solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of data-driven integrations, including APIs, web services, ETL processes, batch jobs, and enterprise integration patterns.

• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce data models, user interface frameworks, and process automation tools.

• Experience with modern cloud platforms, Salesforce ISV solutions, and other Salesforce cloud technologies within complex technology environments.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.

• Experience in the non-profit sector is considered an asset.
